⚠️ Important – This Is a Rectifier

This product is primarily a RECTIFIER, not one of the later combined regulated charging units.

It converts the stator's AC charging output into DC for the applicable charging system.

When replacing an original unit, please make sure your engine requires the 4-wire rectifier configuration.

⚠️ Battery Warning

NOT FOR USE WITH MAINTENANCE-FREE BATTERIES

This is particularly important on this older rectifier-type charging system.

Use of an unsuitable maintenance-free battery can result in excessive charging voltage and may damage the battery and/or engine electrical components.

Please ensure the battery type is appropriate for your engine's original charging system.

Before Installing Your New Rectifier

If the original rectifier has failed, we strongly recommend checking the charging system before fitting the replacement.

Check:

• AC output from the stator
• Battery condition
• Battery terminals
• Engine earth / ground connections
• Stator wiring
• Rectifier wiring
• Electrical terminals
• Burnt or corroded connectors
• Melted or heat-damaged wiring

Replace or repair any damaged electrical connections before installing the new rectifier.

Suitable high-temperature dielectric grease can be used on applicable electrical connections.
