Cable Length Guide (How to Measure)

For New Installations

1. Measure from the control box, following the intended cable route, to the transom or transom well.

2. Continue measuring from the transom point to the engine connection location.

3. Add approximately 4ft (1.2m) to allow for steering and engine movement.

4. Round the final measurement up to the next full foot.

5. Confirm your setup uses a universal 33C / 3300 cable.

For Replacing an Existing Cable

1. Check the plastic jacket for a printed part number; the final digits usually indicate the cable length.

2. If no part number is visible, measure only the plastic jacket from end fitting to end fitting.

3. Add 18 inches to allow for correct fit and free movement.

4. Round up to the next full foot. If unsure between two lengths, select the longer cable.
