Talamex Universal Fuel Primer Bulb

High-quality Talamex marine fuel primer bulb, Suitable for a wide range of marine and outboard fuel systems

Suitable For

Suitable for many marine fuel systems using:

10 mm / 3/8" & 8 mm / 5/16" Fuel Hose

Can be used with suitable fuel systems on many outboard brands, including:

Yamaha
Mercury
Mariner
Suzuki
Honda
Tohatsu

OMC
Other marine and outboard fuel systems

Important

This is a universal marine primer bulb based on fuel hose size.

Compatibility should be determined by the fuel hose internal diameter and fuel system requirements, not by engine brand or horsepower alone.

Fuel Hose Size

10 mm / 3/8" Internal Diameter Fuel Hose

3/8" = approximately 9.5 mm

Commonly referred to as 10 mm / 3/8" marine fuel hose.

Please measure the internal diameter of your existing fuel hose before ordering.

8 mm / 5/16" Internal Diameter Fuel Hose

5/16" = approximately 7.9 mm

Designed to connect to standard 8 mm / 5/16" marine fuel hose.

Please measure your existing fuel hose before ordering.

One-Way Fuel Valve

The primer bulb incorporates a one-way valve to control the direction of fuel flow from the fuel tank towards the engine.

Always install the primer bulb in the correct direction of fuel flow.

Check the direction arrow on the primer bulb during installation.

The arrow should point towards the engine.

Important – Check Your Fuel Hose Size

Please check the INTERNAL diameter of your existing fuel hose before purchasing.

The two sizes are different and should be selected according to the fuel hose fitted to your installation.

If the part looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct one for your outboard or fuel system.

Installation

When installing the primer bulb:

Check the fuel hose inner diameter
Check the direction arrow on the bulb
Install with the arrow pointing towards the engine
Ensure the fuel hose is fully seated
Secure the hose using the supplied clamps
Check carefully for fuel leaks before operating the engine

Replace any fuel hose that is cracked, hardened, damaged or deteriorated.
