Important – Please Check Compatibility

Yamaha produced different 25 HP outboard generations, and not every F25 uses this starter motor.

Please do not order by horsepower or appearance alone.

Before purchasing, please check:

Engine is Yamaha
Engine is F25
Engine is 25 HP
Engine is 4 Stroke
Engine is the applicable 2-cylinder version
Engine year
Engine serial number
Original starter motor part number
9-tooth starter drive
Mounting points and electrical connections

Your engine should correspond with one of the 65W-81800 Yamaha part numbers listed above.

If the starter motor looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct one for your outboard.

If you are unsure, please send SSI Marine your engine model and serial number before ordering and our technical team will be happy to check compatibility.
