Important – Please Check Compatibility

Yamaha produced several engine generations and starter motor configurations across the F150, F225 and F250 ranges.

Please do not order by horsepower, year or appearance alone.

Before purchasing, please check:

Engine is Yamaha
Exact engine model
F150, F225, F250 or applicable LF model
Engine year
Engine serial number
Original starter motor part number
13-tooth starter drive
Mounting points and electrical connections

Your original starter should correspond with one of the 63P-81800 / 6BR-81800 Yamaha references listed above.

If the starter motor looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct one for your outboard.

If you are unsure, please send us your engine model and serial number before purchasing and our technical team will be happy to check compatibility.
