Important – Please Check Compatibility

Yamaha produced several different 150 HP–200 HP outboard engine families and starter motor configurations.

Please do not order by horsepower or appearance alone.

Before purchasing, please check:

Engine horsepower
Exact engine model
Engine year
Engine serial number
2-stroke application
Original starter motor part number
13-tooth starter drive
Mounting points
Electrical connections

Your engine should correspond with one of the listed 68F-81800 starter motor applications.

If the starter motor looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct one for your outboard.

If you are unsure, please send SSI Marine your complete engine model and serial number before ordering and our technical team will be happy to check compatibility.
