Important – Please Check Compatibility

Yamaha produced different starter motors across the 75–115 HP ranges depending on the exact engine generation and specification.

Please do not order by horsepower or appearance alone.

Before purchasing, please check:

Engine is Yamaha
Engine is 4 Stroke
Applicable 4-cylinder EFI model
Exact horsepower
Engine model
Engine year
Engine serial number
Original starter motor part number
13-tooth starter drive
Mounting points and electrical connections

Your original starter motor should correspond with one of the 68V-81800 Yamaha part numbers listed above.

If the starter motor looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct one for your outboard.

If you are unsure, please send us your engine model and serial number before purchasing and our technical team will be happy to check compatibility.
