Important – Please Check Compatibility

Tohatsu produced different engine generations and starter motor configurations within these horsepower ranges.

Please do not order by horsepower or appearance alone.

Before purchasing, please check:

Engine is Tohatsu
Exact engine model
2-stroke or 4-stroke
Engine serial number
Original starter motor part number
10-tooth starter drive
CCW rotation
Mounting points
Electrical connections

Your engine should correspond with one of the listed starter motor references.

If the starter motor looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct one for your outboard.

If you are unsure, please send SSI Marine your complete engine model and serial number before ordering and our technical team will be happy to help.
