This SSI Marine replacement starter motor is designed for Yamaha 20HP and 25HP 2-stroke outboards using the 6A9 and 695 engine series.
It is a direct replacement for all 689-81800-xx starter motor variants and installs without modification.

Suitable for engines experiencing slow cranking, clicking, or starter engagement issues caused by worn or failed starter motors.

20C — Serial numbers starting with 6A9****

25HP

25D — Serial numbers starting with 695****

⚠️ Serial number prefix must match. This starter will only fit engines built on the 6A9 and 695 engine blocks.
