Important – Please Check Compatibility

Honda used different starter motors across different engine models and generations.

Please do not order by horsepower or appearance alone.

Before purchasing, please check:

Engine is Honda BF60
Engine model
Engine year
Engine serial number
Original starter motor part number
9-tooth starter drive
CCW rotation
Mounting points
Electrical connections

Your engine should correspond with Honda starter motor:

31200-ZZ3-003

If the starter motor looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct one for your outboard.

If you are unsure, please send SSI Marine your engine model and serial number before ordering and our technical team will be happy to check compatibility.
