Why Replace Your Trim Tab Anode?

Sacrificial anodes help protect important metal components by corroding in place of the gearbox and other underwater parts.

Regular inspection and replacement can help:

Reduce galvanic corrosion
Protect the gearbox and lower unit
Reduce corrosion-related damage
Maintain the engine's corrosion protection system

Inspect the anode during routine servicing and replace it when significantly worn or damaged.

Do not paint or coat sacrificial anodes, as this can prevent them from working correctly.

Important Compatibility Information

Before ordering, please check:

Exact Tohatsu engine model
Engine horsepower
Engine serial number
Original trim tab part number
Existing anode shape and mounting arrangement
Required anode material

If the part looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct part for your outboard.

If unsure, please contact SSI Marine with your engine model and serial number for assistance.
