How to Choose the Correct Length

PLEASE CHECK YOUR CABLE LENGTH BEFORE ORDERING

The easiest method when replacing existing cables is to look for the part number printed on the outer cable jacket.

The cable reference will normally identify the cable type and length.

For example:

EC-014-12 = 12 FT

If the original markings are no longer visible, measure the existing cable carefully.

Do NOT simply measure in a straight line from the control box to the engine.

The cable must follow the actual route through the boat and allow sufficient movement and correct bend radius.

What's Included?

2 × Multiflex EC-014 / C14 Control Cables

Both cables will be supplied in the length selected when ordering.

Suitable for use as:

Throttle + Gear / Shift cables

Important – Check the Cable Type

Please do not order based only on:

Engine horsepower
Engine manufacturer
Cable length
Appearance

Check that your installation requires a C14 / EC-014 OMC-style cable.

Different designs of control cables were used depending on engine model, year and remote control box.

If the cable looks the same as yours, this does not always mean it is the correct cable.

If you are unsure, contact SSI Marine with your engine model, serial number and preferably a picture of the existing cable ends / control box, and we will help identify the correct cable.
